LAVERICK – James D., 78, of Revloc passed away July 3rd, 2023. Born September 28, 1944 in Johnstown, son of the late James and Thelma (Miller) Laverick.  Preceded in death sister Patricia (Dana) Sharpe, and brother-in-law Jake Conlon.  Survived by daughters Melissa D. (Victor) Glowacki, Stahlstown, PA, and Shelley R. (Brian) Lewis, Loganton PA. Granddaughter, Briley R. Lewis as well as sisters Raetta Conlon, West Newton PA, and Judy (Jim) Hicks, Leesburg FL and numerous nieces and nephews.  James was a devoted father to his daughters. He graduated from Central Cambria High School, Class of 1962. Received Bachelor’s Degree from UPJ and Master’s Degree from St. Francis University.  A US Navy Veteran and member of Somerset Masonic Lodge #358 F&AM, having retired from SCI Somerset, James had positions as a Quality Control Engineer for DeVilbiss, Gilmour and Mattel for a time.  He loved the outdoors especially boating, hunting, fishing, and could always have a conversation about motorcycles and Corvettes.  As per James wishes, there will be no viewing and private services are in care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim’s memory may be made to Homes for Heroes, www.homesforheroes.com.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.askew-houser.com
