Obituary of Harry M. Jones

JONES – Harry M., 82, of Johnstown, passed away July 26, 2023 at home. Born November 6, 1940 in Johnstown, son of the late John E. and Nora M. Jones. Preceded in death by 14 brothers and sisters. Survived by children, Helen Jones; John Jones; and Paula Hoffman. Grandchildren, Nicolas Furfari, Hannah and Grace Hoffman.  Brother of Elmer (Myrtle) Jones and Virginia Thornton; and numerous nieces and nephews. US Army veteran during Vietnam. As per Harry’s wishes, there will be no viewing. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11 a.m.on Thursday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, the Rev. Kevin McNamara, officiating. Interment Benshoff Hill Cemetery.
