Obituary of Annie I. Walk

WALK - Annie I., 93, of North Carolina, formerly of Vinco, peacefully passed away on August 30, 2023 at Cabarrus Hospice House, Kannapolis, NC, surrounded by loving family and compassionate healthcare workers. Born October 16, 1929 in East Freedom, daughter of the late Harry Leo and Ella May (Kauffman) Butler.  Preceded in death by  husband,  Ronald; son, Edward G; granddaughter, Elaine Ann Walk; sisters, Edith Corle, Ruth Barnes, Edna Snyder, Ida Ayers and Effie Shriver; and brothers, John Butler and Harry C. Butler.  Survived by son, Kenneth Ray, married to Linda (Nealen), Charlotte NC; daughter in law, Deborah Walk (Kauffman), Wesley Chapel. Grandchildren, Amy, married to Michael Senuta; Denise; Greg, married to Alyson (Butler), all of Concord, NC; and Heather, married to Michael Bonanno, Washington, PA. Great Grandchildren, Kalissa (Denise); Spencer (Amy and Mike); Ryker (Greg and Alyson), Emma and Lilly (Heather and Mike). Also survived by brothers, Russell Butler of East Freedom; and Dean (Janet) Butler of Martinsburg; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend and caregiver, Tammy Myers of Concord, NC. Member of Vinco Brethren Church and Ladies W.M.S. Group.  Annie loved doing plastic canvas, crocheting, traveling, and going camping. Her great grandchildren made her smile immensely.  She retired with 26 1/2 years from Lee Hospital.  Annie will be missed by all who knew her. Friends will be received from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Vinco Brethren Church, Pastor Zac Yonko, officiating. Interment, Benshoff Hill Cemetery.
