Obituary of Linda (Miller) Lorditch

Please share a memory of Linda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

LORDITCH – Linda, 84, formerly of Ebensburg, was welcomed into Heaven September 14, 2023. Born September 1939 in Johnstown, the daughter of late Rudolph and Evelyn (Greene) Miller. She married Ronald Lorditch in 1961 and immediately began a family, having children in successive years. She was a wife and mom extraordinaire; compassionate, patient and full of forgiveness. She loved all animals as evidenced by tending pet fish, turtles, hamsters, rabbits, horses and many cats and dogs. She loved the beach, especially OBX with extended family. Her reputation as a ghost crab catcher is legendary. Most of all, she loved and cared unfailingly for her family. Whether it was a late-night game of gin rummy, a band aid, or just a hug, she knew what was needed and provided it. We’ll miss the golf games, the wry humor and your good advice, but we will always cherish your memory. Preceded in death by daughter, Laura Lorditch, and granddaughter, Eve-Lin Lorditch. Linda was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survived by husband of 62 years, Ronald; children, Craig (Tracy) and Matt (Pam); grandchildren: Tyler Wilson, Michael Lorditch, Kiersten (Kirk) Davis and Kyle (Tosha) Lorditch. Also, great-grandchildren: Raelynn & Sawyer Lorditch and Izabella Meier. A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.  Interment at Lloyd Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda’s memory may be made to the Cambria County Humane Society. Arrangements in the care of Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.
