Michael Matthew Massimo Obituary

MASSIMO - Michael Matthew, 68, of Sunset House, Ebensburg Center, passed away peacefully October 30th, 2023 at the center, surrounded by his Ebensburg Center family.  Born January 9, 1955 in Johnstown, son of the late Michael Massimo and JoAnne (Shoaf) Overdorf.  Preceded in death by brother David.  Survived by his sister Lori Overdorf (Ralph Zondag) of Vancouver, British Columbia and several nieces and nephews.  Michael was an easy going and kindhearted person.  He loved to observe his surroundings.  He will be long remembered for his couriosity.  Over the years at the Altoona and Ebensburg Centers, he had worked in different program areas.  He took pride in all of his work and always worked to the best of his abilities.  Michael liked to participate, on his terms, in various activities at home and in the community, especially activities that were filled with action.  He enjoyed going on trips that involved the outdoors and loved to be outside in nature.  He'll be remembered fondly for his personality and touched the lives of many.  A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the Center.  Arrangements are in the care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.
