DOLIVEIRA - Darlene “Toots” (Landrum), 71, formerly of Twin Rocks passed away Tuesday, November 14, at Graystone Grand Palazzo Personal Care Home in Altoona, surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with dementia. She was born July 15,1952 in Twin Rocks, daughter of the late Harry and Evelyn (Wilson) Landrum. She is also preceded in death by her husband, George Doliveira. Often known for her fantastic baking skills and passion for sweets, her true life’s purpose has always been her family. She was an abundantly loving mother, sister, grandmother, wife and daughter. Her kind soul and caring heart made her a wonderful friend to so many individuals. She will be deeply missed. She is survived by her loving children, Brad (Stephanie) Doliveira and Jamie (Damian) Markferding; four precious grandchildren: Gabe, Carter, Madyn, and Daegan; her brothers and very special sisters-in-law: Harry “Punkin” (Patricia) Landrum and twin Daryl (Kathy) Landrum; and her favorite nephew and niece: Daryl (Micha) Landrum Jr. and Ashley (Jason) Landrum. The family wishes to thank the entire staff of Graystone Personal Care Home and 365 Hospice for the excellent care “Mia” received. Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where a Celebration of the Life of Darlene ”Toots” Doliveira will follow. In lieu of flowers and in remembrance of Darlene, we simply ask that you take a moment to do a kind deed for someone you know, perform a random act of kindness for a stranger, or lend a helping hand to a person in need.
