DITCHCREEK - Walter R., 96, of Jackson Twp. went to be with the Lord Jan. 8, 2024 at Cambridge-Ebensburg. Born Nov. 23, 1927 in Johnstown, son of the late Herman & Ida (Issacson) Ditchcreek. Preceded in death by wife, Betty; son, Tim; 4 sisters; and 6 brothers. Survived by children, Robert (Glenna); Marie (Steve) Donahue; and Dan (Mary Ellen). 5 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. Also survived by sister, Elissa “Geesey” Ditchcreek. Member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mundys Corner. US Army veteran having served during WW II. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at noon on Saturday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, Pastor Geno Bartoletti, officiating. Interment, Ogden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Walt’s memory may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Condolences may be left for the family at www.askew-houser.com
