STILES – Joel Kenneth, 54, of Nicktown, passed away Feb. 16, 2024 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. Born Nov. 17, 1969 in Baltimore Maryland. Preceded in death by maternal grandmother Wilma Stiles; and nephew, Doug Link. Survived by his father and mother, Wayne and Margaretta Stiles; and siblings, Loreen “Sis” (Earl) Link; Vicki (Bryan) Murphy; and Wayne D. Stiles. Also survived by 8 nieces and nephews; 22 great nieces and nephews all of whom he adored. Last but certainly not least…his dog, “Baby Girl”, his faithful companion. Joel spent his life caring for his family and friends and making music. All who heard him sing know his music and voice spoke straight to our hearts. Today and forevermore, Joel’s voice rings out in Glory Land, joining with the heavenly hosts singing praises to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo and from 10:30a.m. until time of funeral service at 11a.m. on Wednesday at Laurel Mountain Bible Church, Pastor James Lambing, officiating. Private interment in the Stiles Family Cemetery, Nicktown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joel’s memory to his church at 131 Bobwhite Lane, Mineral Point, PA 15942.
