Richard T Fye Obituary

FYE - Richard T., 73, of Ebensburg, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024 at home.  Born February 18, 1951, in Nanty Glo, son of the late Merle T. and Edna Mae (Thomas) Fye.  Preceded in death by wife, the former Martha A. (Skibo) Fye,  twin sister Deb Stupsky; sisters: Dorothy Fye and Marian Kasecky; and brothers: Irvin, Leonard, and Ronald Fye.  Survived by daughter, April (Jim) McKendree, and granddaughter Brenna McKendree.  Also survived by brothers: Edward, David and Roger Fye, and sisters: Edna Rambeau, Nancy Hoover, and Patricia Fye.  Dick was a retired correctional officer for the Cambria County Prison, with 22 years of service.  A USAF veteran, he was a life member of the Ebensburg and St. Benedict  VFW and a social member of the Loretto American Legion.  A man of conservative mind, he loved his family and his country. Former member of the Hastings Fireman's Club.  At his request, there will be no viewing.  Private Services at the convenience of his family.  In lieu of flowers, Dick would be pleased to have donations to the Wounded Warrior Project in his memory.  Services are in the care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.  Condolences to the family may be left at www. askew-houser.com
