Ted Allen Henry Obituary

HENRY - Ted Allen, 85, of Ebensburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday May 26, 2024.  Born September 9, 1938 in Ebensburg, the son of the late Elmer and Minnie Mae (Cramer) Henry.  Preceded in death by brothers Jack, Leo, Boyd, William, and Robert Henry and sister, Judith Stiles.  Survived by wife, the former Carole Ann (Kenny) Henry, of Ebensburg; daughter, Stacy Ann Frank and her sons Connor Henry Frank and Evan Alexander Frank, all of Oakdale, Pa.  Also survived by brother Dwight Henry of Johnstown, sister-in-law, Sally Henry and numerous nieces and nephews.  Ted was retired from Bell Atlantic, where he served as a switchman for 39 years.  He was a member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church and served on the Board of Directors of the Ebensburg Area Ambulance Association for many years.    Ted enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Ebensburg Country Club.  He also loved skiing and became a ski instructor at Blue Knob Ski Resort after he retired. He served in the US Army (1958-1960) having attained the rank of SP-4 and was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Ebensburg.


Friends will be received from 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 30th at the Holy Name Catholic Church Narthex, 500 N. Julian Street, Ebensburg, followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:30 p.m., the Rev. Fr. Brian Warchola, celebrant.  Entombment at Holy Name Mausoleum.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Ted's memory may be made to the Ebensburg Area Ambulance Association, 800 West High Street, Ebensburg, Pa.  15931.  Arrangements are in the care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc, Ebensburg.  Condolences to the family may be left at www.askew-houser.com
