Obituary of Richard P. Goodrich

GOODRICH – Richard P., 79, of Ebensburg, passed away June 4, 2024 at home. Born May 16, 1945 in Nanty Glo, son of the late George and Rose (Malenosky) Goodrich. Preceded in death by brothers, Robert, Carl and Donald Goodrich. Survived by wife, Audrey to whom he was married for 48 years and children, Richard Jr. (Marlynn) Goodrich; Amy (Gregory Harris) Goodrich-Harris; and Eric (Erin) Goodrich. Grandchildren Paul, Ryan, Emily, Hailey, Maverick and Stryker. Also survived by sister, Patricia McCullough; and brother, Thomas Goodrich; and numerous nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters in law. Member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Nanty Glo. Retired from Pennsylvania State Police as Trooper with 25 years of service, stationed in Ebensburg. He served in the US Army during Vietnam Era. Richard was an avid hunter and enjoyed bow hunting in October. He had a great love for God, family, and his country. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo.  Military Rite by Blacklick Valley Ritual Team will be held at 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Mary’s Church, the Rev.
