WESTRICK - Helen L., 86, of Vinco, passed into Eternal Life on June 8, 2024 at home. Born March 27, 1938 in Cassandra, daughter of the late George and Anna Mehall.   Preceded in death by husband, Edgar Westrick, who recently passed away on May 19, 2024; daughter, Tracy Stephens; and grandson, Stephen Wilson. Survived by children, Viola Sand; Kim (Richard) Kmett; Kenneth Wilson; Wade (Cindy) Wilson; son-in-law, Dave Stephens; Step-children David (Annette); Edgar W; Virginia; and Kathy (Paul) Johnston. 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Also survived by sisters-in-law; Mary Ann (Shostek) Craig; Virginia Pfeiffer; and Cecelia (Stan) Rokavec; brother-in-law; Thomas (Cindy); and numerous nieces and nephews. Helen loved her husband and family more than anything. She was always a care-giver, always putting others before herself. She loved helping at her church, Summit Chapel Church in Wesley Chapel, with various functions or whatever they needed her to do. She loved the outdoors, fishing and camping, playing bingo, going to the Vinco Senior Center for lunch, bird watching and playing with her beloved dog, Buddy. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Pastor Bill Warrick, officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen’s memory may be made to Summit Chapel Church or to the Cambria County Humane Society.
