EVANS — Charles A., Jr. “Bud”, 89, longtime citizen of Ebensburg with deep roots in the business community, passed away peacefully in Martinsburg on Aug. 1, 2024. Born Sept. 26, 1934 in Johnstown, he was the son of the late C. Albert “Abbie” Evans, Sr. and Helen (Earle) Evans. Preceded in death by sister, Lynda McGarvey-Lee. Survived by the former Jeanne Bennett, his loving wife of 65 years; son, Charles A., III “Chet” (Traci) Evans; daughter, Wendy J. (Frank) Babula; and grandchildren, Kasey (Zak) Petrunak and Evan Babula. Owner of Evans Pharmacy, a popular Ebensburg small business from 1930-1987, and was a devoted pharmacist until retirement at age 80. He was a 1960 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. US Army veteran. Member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Roaring Spring, Summit Lodge #312 F. & A.M., serving in several capacities, Ebensburg Rotary Club and Ebensburg Jaycees.
