Obituary of Michael Joseph Gerycz

GERYCZ – Michael Joseph “Mikie”, 47, of Colver, passed away on August 26, 2024. He is survived by his parents, Michael and Josephine (Compardo) Gerycz; his siblings, Michele (Adrian) Janosik, Amy Edmiston, and Adam (Theresa) Gerycz; and his nephews, Brayden and Adam Gerycz. Mikie was an avid golfer, a dedicated fan of the Steelers and Penn State, and a phenomenal teacher. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him - family, friends, colleagues, and students.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 3–6 p.m. on Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Colver,  the Rev, Christopher Lemme, T.O.R., celebrant.
