Obituary of Cliffton N. Randolph, Jr.

RANDOLPH - Cliffton N. Jr. “Cliff”, 82, of Ebensburg, passed away August 30, 2024.  Born December 31, 1941 in McKeesport, Pa., son of the late Cliffton N., Sr. and Clara (Maguire) Randolph.  Preceded in death by sister, Beverly Pollick and brother Gary Randolph.  Cliff married Toni and they had three children together.  Survived by children Eric (Cynthia) Randolph; Erin (James) Savage, and Dana (Jason) Ferrante; grandchildren:  Dalton and Sierra Randolph; Alex, Athena and Adam Savage; and Jessica Gomez. 

Cliff started working at a young age and had various jobs as a teenager, then joined the Army at 18, serving six years in Japan, Korea, and Germany.  After returning home from the service, Cliff became a meat cutter.  He became manager and was then promoted to the Corporate Office.  In 1991, Cliff married Sharon Shafer, who also survives him, and together became the owner operators of the Giant Eagle Market in Northern Cambria, Pa.  They owned the store for 25 years and retired in 2016.  Cliff truly loved to travel visiting other countries.  He owned a Harley Davidson and rode all over the United States and Canada.  Many of his rides he rode alone.  One memorable trip was to Nova Scotia.  Cliff loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them as he could.  He had a very full life and had many stories to tell.  He will be missed by many. 

Friends will be received from 12:00 noon until the time of Funeral Service at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 8^th, at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., 300 N. Julian St., Ebensburg, Pa.  15931, Bobbi Jean Homerski, officiating.
