STEPHENS – Nancy L., 92, of Nanty Glo, passed away Sept. 10, 2024. Born June 25, 1932 in Nanty Glo, daughter of the late Herbert and Velma “Grace” (Graham) Hibbard. Preceded in death by brother, Herbert, Jr.; brother in law, Bernard Stephens; and niece in law, Kimberly  Stephens. Survived by husband, James, to whom she was married for 69 years; sister, Janet E. Stephens; nephews, Bernard (Mary) Stephens, Mark Stephens; niece, Laurie (Michael) Wilson; and numerous grand and great nieces and nephews. Member of Laurel Mt. Bible Church where she was very active. Former member of Nanty Glo United Methodist Church. Retired secretary for the former Drs. Edelstein & Diamond, Optometrists. Friends will be received from noon until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. on Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, Pastors James Lambing and Joe Brown, officiating. Interment, Pineland Cemetery, Strongstown. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy’s memory may be made to Laurel Mt. Bible Church. Condolences may be left for the family at www.askew-houser.com
