Meeting Jim at the Van Club, Allegheny Vans Club, where he came in his beautiful Eat a Peach Van, I became a fan of the man who didn’t know he was in a wheelchair!! So many memories of those days, my band playing, all the people having fun, great times , great music, great people, with Jim right in the middle of it all. It’s been a while since I have talked to him and now he knows all the mysteries we once talked about. Peace be with You Good Kind Sir. The world was a better place thanks to your being in it. Sharing the name Jim (Jim D) with close to a dozen CCHS class members I am reminded of one story about Jim E (I believe told to me by Jim L) where our Driver Ed teacher (Mr. B) used a milk bottle on the car floor to encourage gentle starts and stops. As the story goes Jim E never got out of his parking spot without tipping that bottle. That was Jim, our great classmate, aggressively tipping the bottle of life with friendship and humor.

RIP Uncle Jim, I will miss our talks when I would run into you at one of the local restaurants. I will always remember you taking me and Scott to the house and your German Shepard carrying that hammer around. Talking about cars, and that infectious smile of yours. God speed!

Jimmy Pooh! That is what I called this gentle soul when I lived next to him in the apartments behind the mini mall! Jim and I would walk around the Ebensburg center and often do breakfast and lunch together!! Jim, I will forever honor the friendship we had! RIP! I love you, my friend! ❤️
