TSIKALAS - Anna (Christ), 91, of Ebensburg, passed away January 12, 2025 at Richland Woods by New Perspective, Johnstown.  Born May 28, 1933, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Emanuel and Margaret (Vasiliou) Christ.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Michael Tsikalas, with whom she was married for 40 years and by step children George and Anthony Tsikalas.  Also preceded in death by sisters Estelle Pappas and Marylyn Altemus.  She is survived by stepchildren James (Lissa Verrone), Gust (Barbara), and E. Michael Tsikalas (Mary Beth), by 10 step grandchildren and 8 step great-grandchildren.  Also survived by her cherished Godchildren Georgia Fragale, Katerina Mavrodis, and Demi Fino.  Survived by an additional three treasured nieces, dear friend to both Michael and Anna, Johnny Mavrodis, and by Patrice Tsikalas.  Anna was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Greek Orthodox Church, Johnstown, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, secretary of the Ladies Philoptochos Society, member of the church choir, and as Secretary of the Board of Trustees for 35 years.  Anna had a successful career from which she retired in 1996.  She enjoyed cooking, growing herbs, sewing, knitting, good humor, and relished spending time with her friends.  At the request of the deceased, no public viewing will take place.  Funeral service by Rev. Fr. Michael Rustick, celebrant, will be held at the family’s convenience.
