LUTHER - Mary Jane (Betz), 93, of Colver, passed away January 17, 2025 at UPMC -Altoona Hospital. Born October 13, 1931 in Johnstown, daughter of the late Norman and Clara (Brickner) Betz.  Last surviving member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by husband John J. Luther, son Matthew Luther, and brother Norman Betz.  Survived by children:  Jane (James) Elms of Ebensburg; John Michael (Alicia) Luther, Pawcatuck, CT.; Jean (Steve) Kennedy; Seattle, WA.; Mark Luther, Colver, Pa.; Maria (Ernest) Skibo; Altoona, Pa.;  Five grandchildren:   Angela Vermeulin; Joseph (Tina) Morris; Christopher Skibo; Megan Kennedy; Jordan Luther; and great-granddaughter: Lauren Vermeulin.  She was devoted to her family and friends and was a devout Catholic.  Mary loved to garden, cook, and bake.  Everything tasted better when she made it!  At her request, there will be no viewing.  A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 17th at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Colver,  Rev. Fr.
