Please share a memory of Sheila to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

MITCHELL - Sheila L., 67, of Ebensburg, formerly of Alabama, passed away January 18, 2025. Born January 19, 1957 in Florida, daughter of the late Pete and Rita (Fetzer) McGuire. Preceded in death by her husband, Tech. Sergeant, Warren G. Mitchell. Survived by her sisters, Brenda (Dan) Sample and Ellen (Tom) Pope; lifelong friend, Diane Meadows; and her special cousin Rick, who provided help, aid and assistance to Sheila following her strokes and illness. She will be remembered as well by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Sheila was a military wife following her husband, Warren through his 20 years of service in the Air Force including time in Alaska and Alabama… they were inseparable. Sheila was an avid Crimson Tide fan and loved spending time with her relatives, especially the Pope family get togethers. The family would like to thank the staff of The Villages of Maple Heights and Senior Life for the care and comfort provided Sheila in their care. All who got to know Sheila described her as a sweetheart… she is at peace now. She never complained or had a negative thought about anything or anybody and will be missed until we meet again. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, the Rev. Russ Havener, officiating. Condolences may be left for the family at www.askew-houser.com
