EMERY- Clarence G. “Dusty”, 76, of Nanty Glo, died Nov. 19, 2010 at Memorial Medical Center. Born Sept. 24, 1934 in Akron, Ohio, son of the late Clarence and Katherine (Johnson) Emery. Preceded in death by brother, Robert. Survived by wife of 53 years, the former Jeannine Zeranko, and children, Jeff Emery, Nanty Glo; Pamela (James) Williamson, Florida; and Brenda (Mike) Janis, Lancaster. Grandchildren, Jake, Chrissy, Ashley, Chad, Cory, Cody, Brett, Dalton, Breeanna and Jhett. 8 Great Grandchildren. Also survived by sisters, Alice (Jim) Ewing, Tyrone; and Beverly (Phil) Bowers, Martinsburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, American Legion and L.O.O.M. # 207, all of Nanty Glo. US Army Veteran. An avid NASCAR, Steelers and Penn State fan. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports, who were his “monkey shiners” and “bad eggies.” He will be dearly missed by his great granddaughter Kiley, who was his best cartoon buddy. Friends will be received from 5-8 pm on Sunday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass at 11am on Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Rev. Martin Cingle, celebrant. Committal to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
