Obituary of Donald C. Kruper

KRUPER - Donald C., 68, Twin Rocks, passed away Oct. 1, at home. Born Oct. 10, 1937, in Twin Rocks, son of late Steve and Ruth (Davis) Kruper. Preceded in death by son, Donald J. Kruper; brothers, James, Kenneth, and Steve; and brother-in-law, Leo B. Sanderson. Survived by wife of 48 years, the former Janice Krug; and daughters, Louise (Donald) Rozsi, Belsano; and Vicky (Edward) Waston, Nanty Glo; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Brother of Paul (Yvonne), South Fork; Veronica Sanderson, Twin Rocks; John (Leona), Johnstown; Marian (Jerry) McGlynn, Twin Rocks; Kathleen (Francis) Schilling, Belsano; and Ronald, Twin Rocks; sisters-in-law, Dolly Bumford and Linda Kruper, both of Ebensburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Retired from Florence Mining Co. and Area Agency on Aging. U.S. veteran, having served in the Marine Corps. Member of Twin Rocks VFW, Nanty Glo American Legion, L.O.O.M. and American-Polish Citizens Club, Nanty Glo. Donald enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9p.m. Tuesday, Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. David S. Peles, officiating. Interment, U.B. Cemetery, Belsano. In lieu of flowers, donations in Donald's name may be made to his family.
