FREDERICK - Harry H. "Snook," 74, of Strongstown, passed away March 16, 2007, at home. Born June 4, 1932, in Strongstown, son of the late George and Katherine (Blackner) Frederick. Preceded in death by wife, Anna Mae (Bugal) Frederick; brother, John Frederick; and son-in-law, Squid Divido. Survived by children, Janice Divido and Joyce Faish, both of Nanty Glo; Harry (Jennifer) Frederick Jr., Virginia; Shirley (Dave) Dixon, Vinco; Sharleen (Bill Mallin) Frederick, Lancaster; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Also survived by brothers, George (Josephine), Ronald (Sandy) and Dave (Georgia) Frederick and sister-in-law, Ann Frederick, all of Strongstown, and numerous nieces and nephews. Retired from Bethlehem Steel. Navy veteran having served in the Korean War. Life member of Steve Klosz Post 7605, Twin Rocks. Active member of Vintondale VFW Post 5211 and Blue Goose Sportsman's Club. An avid hunter and fisherman, Snook also enjoyed gardening. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Clayton Harriger officiating. Interment, Pineland Cemetery, Strongstown. Military rites by local veterans organizations.
