KOPSIC - George Sr., 81, of Nanty Glo, passed away Aug. 7, 2006. Born May 1,
1925, in Twin Rocks, son of the late John and Mary (Washko) Kopsic.
Preceded in death by brothers, Joseph and John, and sisters, Helen,
Mary, Margaret, Anna, Verna and Jude. Survived by wife of 58 years, Anna
Mae (Churilla); daughter, Mary Ann (Robert) Mayancsik, Twin Rocks; son,
George Jr. (Barbara Zane), Johnstown; grandchildren, Lori (Michael)
Yingling, Jeffrey Mayancsik and Jessica Kopsic; great-granddaughter,
Riley Yingling; and sister, Dorothy Macik, Johnstown. Friends will be
received from 1 p.m. until time of prayer service at 2:30 p.m. on
Thursday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Nanty Glo, followed by
funeral liturgy at 3 p.m. at St. Nicholas Greek Catholic Church, Nanty
Glo, the Rev. Monsignor Raymond Balta, celebrant. George is now in
eternal peace with the Lord after many years with dementia/ Alzheimer's.
