Obituary of Kathryn M. Rummel

RUMMEL – Kathryn M., 97, of Nanty Glo, went to be with her Lord, Jan. 6, 2011 at home. Born Oct. 23, 1913 in Cresson, daughter of the late Chester A. and Agnes (Lantzy) Dodson. Preceded in death by ex- husband, Ward “Buck” Rummel, brothers, Allen, Wilbur, Steve, Royden, James and Chet; sisters, Betty, Erma, Wilma, Dorothy and Sara; step daughter, Lorene Vivis; and step granddaughter, Laurie Hill. Survived by daughter, Carole and husband Michael Kuzilla; grandson, Ryan and wife Jenny; sisters, Mary and Verna; beloved nieces, Agnes, Kathy, Betty “Boots, “Sunday Girl” Carole Lynn, and Wendy and numerous nieces and nephews; as well as her beloved pets, Kitty, Lovebird and Pita. Kathryn was the oldest living member of Belsano Faith United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher, superintendent, trustee; and president of the Womens Group. Member of the former Twin Rocks VFW Ladies Auxillary. Retired nurses aide from the former Cambria County Home. Former school van driver with Castelli Transportation. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Monday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo and from 12:30 pm. until time of funeral service at 1:00pm Tuesday at Belsano Faith United Methodist Church, Pastor John H. Snyder and the Rev. Clayton Harriger, officiating. Interment, Belsano UB Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Kathryn’s memory may be made to her church.
