SETTLE - Ruth M. (Misner), 84, of Ben Franklin Highway, Ebensburg, passed away July 27, 2007 at Laurel Crest Manor. Born December 19, 1922, in Wehrum, daughter of the late Louis and Elva (Good) Misner. Preceded in death by three infant sons, one granddaughter, two brothers and two sisters. Survived by husband, Ray Settle, to whom she was married 65 years and these children: Shirley, wife of Wesley Adams, Erie; William and wife Deborah Settle; Margaret, wife of David Detwiler; and Mary, wife of Timothy Detwiler, all of Strongstown; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, three sisters and two brothers. Ruth was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. When she enjoyed better health, she loved to spend time doing crafts. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Sunday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc, Nanty Glo, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, the Rev. John Swanger, officiating. Interment at United Brethren Cemetery in Belsano.
