WILSON – Leroy Paul “Lee”, 70 of Duncansville, formerly of Mundys Corner, passed away Feb. 6, 2010 at home after an extended illness of 13 years with chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Born April 25, 1939 in Johnstown, son of the late Everett and Gertrude (Stager) Wilson. Preceded in death by infant brother, David J. Wilson. Survived by wife of 46 ½ years, Cecelia “CeCe” (Molinich) Wilson, and daughter, Anastasia Turchetta. Brother of Everett Jr., (Shirley)Wilson; J. David (Diane)Wilson; several nieces and nephews;many Godchildren; and also his loyal furry dog friend, “Petty”. Lee served as an altar server at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Mundys Corner. Served on Pre Cana;Was a member of the Cursillo Movement. Choir member of St. Marys Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg and St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Lakemont, where he was also Eucharistic Minister. He coached Hollidaysburg Girls Softball Team for 4 years. Participated in YMCA’s program “Indian Princess’s” and also Hollidaysburg Band Parents Treasurer. Graduate of Central Cambria High School Class of 1957. Vietnam veteran having served in the US Army. Retired staff accountant from J. David Wilson,CPA. His hobbies included reading, trap shooting, golf, traveling, flower gardening and doing things in his home. “We must consider each day a “bonus day” from God.” Friends will be received from 3-8 pm on Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where vigil prayer service will be held. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday from 10:30am until time of Funeral Mass at 11am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Rev. Mark Begly, celebrant. Committal, St. Mary’s Cemetery, Nanty Glo. Military Rites by Menoher Post 155 VFW Ritual Team. In lieu of flowers donations in Lee’s memory may be made to The Leukemia Society of Western PA Chapter, 2 Gateway Center, Pittsburgh, PA 15203; or to his church.
