Skubik - Francis, Sr., 70, Nanty Glo, passed away January 12, 2006 at Select Specialty Hospital, Johnstown, son of the late George Sr. and Mary (Macik) Skubik. Preceded in death by wife, Carolyn "Bingo" (Diviney) Skubik and brother George Skubik, Jr. Survived by companion of 14 years, Mary Ellen Yobbagy, and children, Tina Kish, Texas; Judy, and husband, Mark McClain, Ebensburg; Frank Skubik, Jr., Texas; Mark Skubik and wife Janet Graff, Texas; and Chris Skubik, Maryland. Children of companion, Billy Yobaggy, and his daughters Amanda and Elissa; Ed and Connie Yobbagy; Tom and Gina Yobbagy; and Bob and Jackie Yobbagy, and their daughter Isabella. Also survived by grandchildren, Megan and Olivia McClain, Ebensburg; Daniel Skubik, Texas; Jenna, Nicole and Marissa Skubik, Nanty Glo; and Spencer and Amber Skubik, Texas. Brother of Mary Ann, and husband Steve Barr, Vinco; sisters-in-law, Katheleen Gongloff, Marge Diviney, Mary Lou Diviney, Nancy Clark and Carol Duman; and brothers-in-law, George Clark and Fred Meiers. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Retired employee of the Cambria County Courthouse. Member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Nanty Glo, where he served as an usher for more than 30 years; American-Polish Citizens Club; Nanty Glo Moose; Nanty Glo American Legion; and Vintondale Fireman's Club. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where a vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Monday at St. Mary's Church, Father David S. Peles, celebrant. Committal at Holy Name Cemetery, Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers, donations in Francis' memory may be made to his church.
