MAUS –Etheldreda Marie (Yeckley) “Deed”, 88, Cambria Care Center, formerly of Jackson Twp., passed away April 29, 2010. Born Nov. 21, 1921, in Patton, daughter of the late Leonard and Regina (Switzler) Yeckley. Preceded in death by daughters Catherine Tom, Janet Stemple and infant Mary Ann, and siblings Leona Edwards, Charles, Edwin, Lewis, Mildred Lilly, Leo “Ben”, Leonard, and Regina Caretti. Survived by husband of 64 years, Charles F. Maus , children James Maus, Doris (Dennis) Niebauer, Edward (Suzan) Maus, Joseph (Monica) Maus, Lois (Jeffrey) Dravis, and Dennis Maus; grandchildren Jennifer (Steve) St. Marie, Joseph (Sueanne) Tom, Gregory Tom, Michael (Alicia) Niebauer, Ronald (Tracy) Niebauer, David Stemple, Jeffrey (Cindy) Stemple, Jessica, Melanie and Keith Maus, Samantha Dravis and Joshua Maus; great -grandchildren, Vincent, Dominic, and Gabriel St. Marie, and Jana and Karli Stemple, plus two on the way, and sons-in-law Jonathan Tom and James Stemple. Also survived by sisters Geraldine Cunningham and Mary Moses; sisters- in -law Mary Etta Yeckley, Theresa Yeckley and Malvena Maus; brother-in-law Merle Caretti; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Mundys Corner, and Legion of Mary Auxillary. Deed enjoyed cards, bingo and crafts. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Askew-Houser Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where vigil wake service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John Vianney Church, the Rev. Andrew Stanko, celebrant. Committal at St. Michael's Cemetery, St. Michael. In lieu of flowers, donations in Deed’s memory may be made to her church or the charity of your choice.
