EVANS - Ruth W., 67, Preston, Md., formerly of Twin Rocks, passed away March 14, 2007, at University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore. Born May 10, 1939, in Twin Rocks, daughter of the late Oliver and Gertrude (Willman) Wilson. Preceded in death by an infant sister, Mazzie Wilson; grandson, Andrew M. Bowser; and brothers-in-law, Henry Kennedy, Lee Landrum and Oliver Wilson. Survived by husband of 49 years, Francis C. Evans, and children, Francis III, at home; Kimberly (Marlin) Bowser, Schellsburg; Karen (Wesley) Bowser, Maryland; Brenda (Joseph) Harding, Delaware; and Jeffrey Evans, at home. Also survived by nine grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, brothers, Charles (Catherine) Wilson and Clay (Vonnie) Wilson, both of Parkhill; sisters, Evelyn Landrum, Ebensburg; Velma Ritchey, Florida; and Alda Mae Kennedy, Maryland; and sister-in-law, Loretta Wilson, Reading; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Pilgrim Holiness Church of Twin Rocks. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Asa Sherman officiating. Interment, United Brethren Cemetery, Belsano. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth's memory may be made to her church.
