Obituary of Robert Walter Divido

DIVIDO - Robert Walter, 82, of Mundys Corner passed away May 23, 2009 at home. Born April 24, 1927 in Nanty Glo, son of the late Harry and Hortense (Sanderson) Divido. Preceded in death by wife, Patricia Rae (Ballentyne) Divido; grandson, Blake Raymond; infant grandson, Brett Divido; and brothers, Harry, William, Benjamin and James. Survived by children, Christine (Steven) DiRienzo, Connecticut; Robin (Daniel) Hoover, Mundys Corner; Brett (Cindy) Divido, Georgia; and Tricia (James) Sutton, Georgia. Grandchildren, Sarah and Michael Ingalls; Alec DiRienzo; Jordan, Danica and Jenna Hoover; Halie, Elaina, Elijah and Jackson Divido; Madison, Hayden, Peyton, Paige, Sydney and Carter Sutton. Also survived by sister, Dollene, of Nanty Glo; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, June Edwards, Nanty Glo. WW II Navy veteran. Member of American-Polish Citizens Club, Nanty Glo VFW and American Legion, Twin Rocks Sportsmans Club. An avid hunter and sportsman; and three times King of PA Fishermans Tournament. Retired after 41 years from Bethlehem Mines # 31. Friends will be received from 4-7 pm Tuesday and from 10am until time of funeral service at 11am Wednesday at the Askew- Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, the Rev. John H. Snyder, officiating. Military Rites conducted by Nanty Glo, Vintondale and Twin Rocks Ritual Team. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association
