JOHNS - Doris R. (Stephens), 79, Belsano, passed away May 16, 2007, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Aug. 5, 1927, in Strongstown, daughter of late Bailey and Laura (Lynch) Stephens. Preceded in death by husband, Royal Johns; brothers, Clarence, Nelson, Donald, Duane, Kenneth and Robert; and sisters, Ruth, LaVon, Leora, Grace, Mildred and Bernice. Survived by sons, Dennis, and wife, Janet (Hagens), Strongstown; and Jeffrey, and wife, Sue (Gabor), Penn Run; grandchildren, Jessica (Joe), Jennifer, Shannon and Jake; brother, Gerald, and wife, Dorothy, Homer City; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Clayton Harriger officiating. Interment, McDowell Cemetery.
