SOFLARSKY - Frank A., 76, of Nanty Glo passed away Dec. 3, 2007 at Memorial Medical Center. Born January 15, 1931 in Lilly, son of the late Joseph and Nellie (Smoluch) Soflarsky. Preceded in death by sons, John and Jason; and stepfather Stanley Smoluch. Survived by wife of 51 years, Irma (Frank) and children, Lisa (Dan) Griffon, Nanty Glo; Frank (Mary Jane), Elizabethtown; Joseph (Nancy), Nanty Glo; Michael (Judith), East Taylor; Linda (Peter) Barosky, Nanty Glo; Grandchildren, Crystal, Chance, Melissa, Matthew, Joe, Michael, Ryan, Kayla, Tyler; and Great Grandson, Dustin. Also survived by brothers, Stanley (Ethel), South Fork; Raymond (Rose), Nanty Glo and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Nanty Glo. Member Knights of Columbus, Legion of Mary and Nanty Glo Sewer Committee. Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. Retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. Served on the Board of Directors of Nanty Glo American-Polish Citizens Club. Frank will be sadly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandson and friends. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8pm Thursday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass 11am Friday at St. Mary's Church, the Rev. David S. Peles, celebrant. Committal, St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Frank's memory may be made to St. Mary's Church or School.
