Clouser - Evelyn "Peep", 80, of Middletown, formerly of Nanty Glo, died August 30, 2006 at West Shore Rehabilitation Center, Camp Hill. Born October 12, 1925 in Jackson Twp., daughter of the late Raymond and Violet (Davis) Schrack. Preceded in death by husband Calvin L. Clouser, brother, Raymond G., and sister Elizabeth Stephens. Survived by son Roger, married to the former Judy Wagner, Middletown; step-grandchildren Michael Walker, Mechanicsburg and Ann Garrett of Elizabethtown, and six step-great-grandchildren. Sister of Lucille Stephanic and friend Jim Treaster; and Ruth, wife of Bob Turnbull, all of Rochester Mills, and Harriet, wife of Bob Sprankle, of Punxsutawney. Also survived by sister-in-law Louella "Sis", wife of Gordon Whinnie, Nanty Glo. Evelyn had attended the Nanty Glo First Baptist Church and was a former member of the Pike Grace Brethren Church in Mundys Corner. In her youth, she enjoyed bowling and roller skating, and of late was an avid reader.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Sunday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, the Rev. Ray Streets, Sr., officiating. Interment at Pike Brethren Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in "Peep"'s memory may be made to the Nanty Glo First Baptist Church.
