McHUGH – Henry, 63, of Nanty Glo, passed away Dec. 8, 2011 at Altoona Hospital. Born Sept. 22, 1948 in Johnstown, son of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Palencsar) McHugh. Preceded in death by son, Craig; and brother, Thomas. Survived by wife, Helen and sons, Chris (Whitney) McHugh; and Chad (Colleen) McHugh. Grandchildren, Kennedy and Connor; Chloe, Ella and Shane. Also survived by brother, John McHugh; sister, Kathleen (Donald) Croft; numerous nieces and nephews; and sister in law, Debbie McHugh. Member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Nanty Glo. US Army veteran. Retired from PennDOT, Ebensburg. Member UMWA. Henry was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending time at his hunting camp. Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass at 1 p.m. on Monday at St. Mary’s Church, the Rev. Martin Cingle, celebrant. Committal, St. Charles Cemetery, Twin Rocks. Military rites by Nanty Glo, Twin Rocks and Vintondale area veterans organizations. In lieu of flowers donations in Henry’s memory may be made to The American Cancer Society.
