LASINSKY – William Robert, Sr. “Bill”, 84, of Nanty Glo, passed away Feb. 10, 2018. Born Oct. 28, 1933 in Nanty Glo, son of the late Charles and Constance (Koblite) Lasinsky. Preceded in death by wife, Shirley; eleven siblings; and granddaughter, Jennifer Lasinsky. Survived by children, William, Jr. (Tammy) Lasinsky, John Lasinsky and Catherine (Ray) Serre. Grandchildren, Amanda (Steve) Mack, Emily Lasinsky, Joshua and Jacob Lasinsky, Matthew (Amber) Serre and Erin Serre; great granddaughter, Stella Mack; sister, Irene Fornari; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Nanty Glo. US Army veteran. Member Nanty Glo American Legion and American –Polish Citizens Club of Nanty Glo. Retired from Bethlehem Mines # 33. Member UMWA. Bill was an avid Steeler fan. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, the Rev. Leonard Voytek, officiating. Interment, Holy Name Cemetery, Ebensburg. Military Rite by Nanty Glo, Twin Rocks, and Vintondale area veterans ritual team. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
