Obituary of Paul B. Hoover

HOOVER - PAUL B., 43 of Nanty Glo, passed away August 22, 2015 at home. Born January 19, 1972 in Johnstown, son of Merle and Nancy (Fye) Hoover. Preceded in death by maternal grandparents Merle & Edna Fye, paternal grandparents Merle & Jane Hoover, and trusted pet and buddy Buster . He is survived by his parents, of Nanty Glo, his children: Rockford & Madison, brothers: Merle (Sara) Hoover, of Colorado Springs, CO, and Jason (Patty) Hoover of Mundys Corner. Also survived by former wife, Chrissy Brezensky; special aunt Edna (Fye) Travis, Nanty Glo; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins. A graduate of Blacklick Valley High School, he had enlisted into the Army and served one tour in Iraq during Desert Storm. He was employed as a corrections officer at SCI Pine Grove and enjoyed membership at the Polish-American Citizens Club in Nanty Glo. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and was an amazing father to his children. At the family s request, there will be no viewings. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 6:00 p.m., Thursday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, Deacon Tom Buige, officiating. Interment at Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul s memory may be made to THE Cambria County Humane Society.
