RAGER - Larry William, 77, of Vintondale, passed away March 17th, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born November 29, 1940 in Johnstown, son of the late William and Lula (Green) Rager. He is preceded in death by his sister, Connie Baughman, brothers: Clifford & Richard Rager, daughter-in-law Donna Marie (Caldwell) Rager, and son-in-law Jerry Shultz. Survived by wife, Dora (McCrachren) Rager, to whom he was married 56 years; and these children: Theodore Rager, Larry G. Rager, both of Vintondale; Barbara Laney, Johnstown; and Alice Shultz, of West Virginia. Also seven grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brother Glenn Rager, Florida; sisters: Barbara Ann (Larry) Hutton, Florida and Annice (Dennis) Dolanski, of Northern Cambria. Larry was retired from the Ebensburg Center, where he served as an aide and worked in security for 37 years. After retirement, he enjoyed driving school bus for Dean Hess and served as a Limo driver. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, the Rev. Richard Stock, officiating. Interment at United Brethren Cemetery, Belsano.
