OBLACKOVICH - Hazel Viola, 91, of Vintondale, passed away April 11, 2007 at home. Born February 15, 1916 in Colver, daughter of the late Harry and Viola McCracken. Preceded in death by husband Stephen D. Oblackovich, brothers John Morton and Dwight McCracken; and sister Izora Morton. Survived by daughter, Barbara M. Simoncini, of Vintondale; grandchildren Vince and Stephen and great grandchildren Nicholas and Julia. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Vintondale First Baptist Church. Past president of Vintondale Volunteer Fire Ladies. Former secretary of Central Cambria School System with 25 ½ years of service. Member of Modern Needlers. Friends will be received from 7-9 pm Thursday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo and from 10:30 until time of funeral service at 11am on Friday at Vintondale First Baptist Church, the Rev. Rich Stock, officiating. Entombment, Forest Lawn Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers donations in Hazel's memory may be made to her church.
