ELLIS - Dolores Elaine (Swansboro), 79, of Nanty Glo, passed away Nov. 19, 2007 at the home of her son, James in Lancaster. Born July 16, 1928 in Shallmar, Maryland, daughter of the late Thomas Swansboro and Josephine (Junkins) Copeland. Preceded in death by husband Samuel R. "Dick" Ellis and sister Betty Jean Copeland. Survived by sons, Thomas Richard Sr. (Jamie) of Indiana; and James Samuel Sr. (Dorothy) Lancaster; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and 1 great great granddaughter; sisters, Nancy Pyle, of Ohio; and Joan C. Bradford; and brother, James R. Slayman, both of Maryland. A devoted mother and housewife, Dolores also enjoyed geneology. Friends will be received from 3-5 & 7-9 pm Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo and from 10:30am until time of funeral service at 11am Wednesday at the Cardiff Road Church of God, Nanty Glo, the Rev. Rick Shaffer, officiating. Interment, Bethel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Dolores'memory may be made to Lancaster Hospice.
