LIGHTCAP Gerald D. Jerry , 72, of Nanty Glo, passed away May 7, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center, after a long battle with cancer. Born May 29, 1941 in Johnstown, son of the late George and Martha Lightcap. Preceded in death by daughter, Jodi Lea; and brother, George. Survived by wife, the former Cheryl Bifano; and children, Gerald (Mindy) Lightcap; Michele Lightcap; and George (Peggy) Lightcap; grandchildren, Blaze Lightcap, Devin Barzdo; Keagan and Madeline Ulasky, Paige Kasecky, Eden Lightcap, Meadow Lightcap, Katelyn, Kiana, Phillip, and Kishae Lightcap. Also survived by brother, Boyd (Nancy) Lightcap. Jerry loved Metal Detecting and was always looking for that "Pot of Gold" . He hunted most of his life. Always a gambler, he loved to play cards. He also loved to paint, especially portraits and did many paintings of all the family. Jerry retired from Nanty Glo Borough with many years of service. At Jerry s request there will be no viewing. Private Services at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are in the care of Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo.
