Obituary of Patricia J. Mock

MOCK - Patricia J. (Giazzon), 67, of Twin Rocks, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 17, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center. Born in Johnstown on August 12, 1946 to the late Joseph and Maria (Curtoli) Giazzon. Preceded in death by sisters and brothers: Emma Giazzon, Claire Smillie, Louis Giazzon, Mario Giazzon and Ida Slough. Married for 37 wonderful years to Lawrence R. Mock. Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Tammie and Randy Ebersole of Mechanicsburg, PA. She was the youngest daughter of 11 siblings. Also survived by brothers and sisters: Eugene Giazzon, Olga Hegedus, Angie Holt, Robert Giazzon, Evelyn Murawski and Paul Giazzon. She is Aunt Patti to many, many beloved nieces and nephews. Patti fought a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer after receiving a successful kidney transplant in March 2012. Her amazing strength and character got her through many trials and tribulations in her life. But it was her pure and genuine love for her big Italian family that made her the happiest. Her home was her castle and anyone who knew her knows that. She especially loved decorating for the fall and Christmas holidays. A private family celebration of her life and love of family will be held in Vintondale at the next Giazzon Family Reunion. Donations can be made in her name to her favorite charity, BoysTown.org or to The American Cancer Society to honor her courageous battle.
