AMIGH - David Allen "Butch"," 69, of Jackson Township, passed away September 28, 2012 surrounded by friends and family at Memorial Medical Center. Born April 7, 1943, son of the late Lewis and Margaret Mae (Tyson) Amigh. Preceded in death by brothers, Harry and Abraham; sisters, Mary Jane Alexander and Pearl Elaine "Sis" Yarina; sister in law, Toni (Thomas) Newbaker; and father in law, Albert Thomas. Survived by wife, the former, Wendy Thomas; children, Joshua (Nicole Vranka) Amigh; Jeremy "Bubba" Amigh; and Jessica Amigh; Granddaughter and light of his life, Hannah Amigh. Brothers and sisters, James (Donna); Paul (Betty); Cathy (Charlie) Grove; Dorothy Amigh; Ruth Alexander; Elsie Alexander; Irene Bailey; Gail Walker; and David "Bub" (Sharon) Killen. Brother in law, Phillip (Marlene) Newbaker; Great aunt, Dorothy (Thomas) Beabes; good friends, Roger Albaugh and Norman Vranka, as well as numerous nieces and nephews; and his faithful canine companions, Bear and Max. He attended Ebensburg Evangelical Bible Church, Revloc; Proudly served his country in Vietnam; and was a heavy equipment operator for 49 years. He also served as a volunteer fireman for Jackson Township Fire Company. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, the Rev. Marvin E. Lowery, officiating. Interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Butch’s memory may be made to The American Cancer Society.
