KASSICK – Julia, 89, passed on to the Lord Nov. 7, 2011 in Florida. Born Jan. 15, 1922 in Vintondale, daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Shandor) Kaszas. Preceded in death by brother, John Harnots; sisters, Margaret (Harnots) Lonetti, Veronica Harnots; and Elizabeth (Kaszas) Vereb. Survived by nieces and nephews, John Risco, Gloria Rosner, Joey Lonetti, Mary Mayancsik, Julie Kowalski, Mike Vereb and Sandra Oglesby; and many great nieces and nephews. Our beloved Aunt Jul moved to Hialeah, Florida in 1957. Julia was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1945. She received her bachelors degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1956. Retired from the U.S. Postal Service with 42 years of service; and from Dade County Public Schools in adult education after 15 years of service. She was a good and loving person and would help anyone who needed it. She lived a full life and will be greatly missed. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo.
