WALK- Roger Evans, 60, of Nanty Glo, passed away July 19, 2011 at home. Born Sept. 16, 1950 in Somerset, son of the late Harry C. and Audra A. (Dunmyer) Walk. Preceded in death by brother in law, Robert Murphy. Survived by brothers and sisters, Rodney (Virginia) Walk, Nanty Glo; Dyan Murphy, King, North Carolina; Dure (Melvin) Litzenberger, East Freedom; Trudy Walk, Nanty Glo; Randy (Sharon) Walk, Portage; Terese (William) Jessee, Nanty Glo; Danny (David) Reese, Nanty Glo; Roland Walk, Manchester; Rex (Jeannie) Walk, Dover; and numerous nieces and nephews. Roger worked for Harry Walk Construction and for Jim and Donna Marhefka, of Marhefka Excavating. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo where funeral service will be held at 10am on Saturday, the Rev. Tom Smith, officiating. Interment, UB Cemetery, Belsano. In lieu of flowers donations in Roger's memory may be made to The American Heart Association or The American Cancer Society.
