Obituary of Kathy Warzel

WARZEL – Kathy (Bracken), 63, of Twin Rocks, passed away Oct. 3, 2017. Born Oct. 6, 1953 in Blacklick Twp. Preceded in death by parents, Norman and Margaret (Schrock) Bracken; sister, Linda (Bracken) Spigler; niece, Darla; and adopted grandfather, Ron “Pap” Weekes. Survived by husband, Desmond Warzel; sons, Richard (Erma) and daughter, Hailey; Desmond, Jr. (Rebecca) and sons, Bryce and Zach and daughter, Desaray; Michael, and son, Michael, Jr. and daughters Astacia, Kaitlyn and Keirsten; and daughters, Dawn and son Leighland; and Lacey (Kasey) Yarnell and daughter, Kassidy and son, Kasey Jr.; and 3 great grandchildren. Also survived by sisters, Darlene Wozniak and Barbara Roberts; and brothers, Dave (Jeanne) Bracken and Jim (Anna Mae) Bracken; and numerous nieces and nephews. Kathy loved spending time with her grandchildren, going to yard sales and spending time on her iPad. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at noon on Saturday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, the Rev. Clayton Harriger, officiating. Interment, UB Cemetery, Belsano. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathy’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
