WISNIEWSKI – Andrew Adam, 92, of Jackson Twp., joined his wife in Heaven Dec. 6, 2018, at home. Born Nov. 30, 1926 in Jenners, son of the late Stanley and Bertha Wisniewski. Preceded in death by wife, Elizabeth; brothers, Chester, Felix, John, Henry and Joseph; and sisters, Sr. Estelle Ancilla and Helen Hart. Survived by sons, Andrew M. (Kathy); and Daniel (girlfriend, Pam Akens). Grandchildren, Stacey, Tina, Andrew and Jason. 8 Great Grandchildren. Also survived by sisters in law, Agnes and Dorothy; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Mundys Corner, where he was a former usher. WW II Army veteran. Retired bricklayer for Bethlehem Steel with 39 years of service. Life member of Twin Rocks VFW and member of Nanty Glo American Legion and Nanty Glo Polish Club. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where vigil prayer service will be held that evening. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Vianney Church, the Rev. Andrew Draper, TOR, celebrant. Committal, St. Charles Cemetery, Twin Rocks. Military Rites by Nanty Glo, Twin Rocks and Vintondale Veterans Ritual Team. In lieu of flowers, donations in Andrew’s memory may be made to St. John Vianney Church or Jackson Twp. Fire Co.
