Obituary of John M. Tresnicky

TRESNICKY – John M., 69, passed away November 26, 2021 at Ascension Seton Medical Center in Austin, TX with his niece Jessica and her husband Ken by his side.  Born May 1, 1952 in Windber, son of the late Harry and Irene Tresnicky.  John is survived by brothers: Gregory (wife, Jamaine), Michael and Barry.  Nieces: Jessica (Ken) Kulback and Jan Mack; and Nephew, Michael Tresnicky and Nephew-in-law, Chris Mack.  Also survived by great-nieces and great nephews: Kenzie, Collin, Mikaela, Brandon, Mariska, and Makenna.   John completed his undergraduate studies at Penn State University before attending law schools in California and Texas.  He was a highly accomplished and well-respected attorney before retiring to pursue his love of photography.  John’s generous gift of organ donation has benefited two others with the gift of sight through the “Miracles in Sight” organization.  John’s family was assisted by the Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Homes in Austin Texas. 

Friends will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg and from 9:00 a.m., in the church narthex, until the time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, the Rev. Fr. Brian Warchola, celebrant.  Interment at Holy Name Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
