To the Lubert family,
My sister Lisa Munsey Boothe and I would like to express our sympathy on the loss of Denise this past week. We were saddened to hear of this on Thursday. Denise liked to refer to us as her "almost in-laws". She and our youngest brother John Munsey (her "Highlander") were very happy together and were engaged at the time of John's unexpected death in the Spring of 2020. John spoke of her often, and brought her to Virginia once in the Fall before he died. I never got a chance to meet her as I was feeling bad the weekend that she was here. We texted each other and spoke on Facebook some, even after John left us. I understand now why Lisa and I didn't hear from her much in the last year. I am sorry that she had to go through what she did, but it sounds like she was well-loved in her community, by her family, and by "her kids". I am sure that she would have made an excellent "Sister-in-law", and we are sorry that she never got that opportunity!
Rest in Peace Denise and God-speed to your angels...

My darling Denise
13 years ago, our good Lord sent me an angel to watch over me. I have been so blessed to have you in my life. When God created you, He out done Himself. You truly made this world a much better place. You are an amazing woman Soar with the angels, hunny. I'll see you soon. You will always be in my heart.

I did Denise's hair for 36 years. We laughted, we cried, we got mad at life, but we always said that was the Sagittarius in us. She always brightened my day, and my staffs day. She always had something nice to say about everyone. Heaven truly gained an angel. I will miss her happy, positive, vivacious attitude, but mostly her friendship. We always gave each other a big hug when she was ready to leave my salon. And we also said, " See ya next time." I will never forget some like her. She made my job fun! Rest in peace my dear friend. I'll see you again. Lisa Groman

Mrs.Lubert will be dearly missed. It is unimaginable how much she has changed her students and loved ones. Without her I would have never gained confidence with my voice and experienced growth through her lessons. I will miss our conversations about history and mythology, she always had the most thought provoking views on the stories and times.
Love, Lotus

Denise,
I am so grateful to God for bringing you into my life over 40 years ago. Your friendship is such a blessing to me. I’m so thankful for all our wonderful times together and our endless conversations. You have given me beautiful memories that I will cherish forever.
I told you, you were my hero, and I really meant it. Even in the hardest battle of your life, you remained brave, courageous, and positive. You never gave up and you encouraged all of us. So many lessons we learned from you.
You were a tremendous friend to many, and a wonderful teacher. All your students loved you, because of all the love you poured into them; they will never forget you.
I am so thankful that you trusted in Jesus Christ as your Savior. You had total faith and belief in his death, burial, and resurrection and you knew that his completed work provided your salvation, and a promise of eternity in Heaven. Now, my precious friend, you are with Jesus, so there is no need to say goodbye, because we will be reunited again. Until that day when I join you, I will carry you in my heart and miss you endlessly. I love you always and forever. ❤️

Denise you will be sadly missed by so many people. You have touched so many lives throughout the years at the Greater Johnstown School District. The teachers, administration, clerical and maintenance staff have had so many kind words about you. You loved your students and it showed. You had so much compassion and went the extra mile. You helped me out when you started out as a substitute. You are beautiful inside and out. You were taken too soon from us. A quote that reminds me of you “When I die, I will send down a shower of roses from the heavens, I will spend my heaven by doing good on earth.” ― St.Therese of Lisieux Watch over us Denise, we love you.
